The most important factor in receiving quality captions is providing quality audio. Our goal is to capture every important detail that would otherwise be understood by a non-CART recipient. If speakers use microphones and speak clearly, we will supply exceptional captions.
In a lecture setting, this is most effective by fitting a speaker with a permanent microphone and placing other microphones around the room, or passing them around to any audience participants/speakers.
For quality audio through a computer, we recommend connecting a USB/Bluetooth microphone. These can easily be purchased from online vendors like Amazon at a variety of price points.
